I love Ryanair and Michael O'Leary

Due to the large number of Ryanair bashing threads, I decided I'd let everyone know how much I love Ryan Air.

Also, I love Micheal O'Leary who had some kind of press conference today where he spoke nothing but truth and logic, on how to the government should be running the country among other things.

Why is it people feel the need to bash Ryanair? How dare they offer you dirt cheap air fairs.

If their luggage and general weight restrictions policy doesn't suit you, then use a different airline you bumbling moron.

Today was classic news - I never heard so many "Fcuking" words from the man before! LOL

watched with awe the words of O'Leary on the TV3 news and I laughed.
While I can't stand the man and/or his methods (Ryan Air sucks big time) - the words he expressed did indeed make sense on the subjects highlighted (by TV3 news) he was covering.

For once the man was talking sense.

    I'm a student.

Seriously, what grounds to people have to whine their holes off about Ryanair?

    It's a budget airline.

If you buy a Tesco Value product do you return it if it mildly disappoints you? No, because shouldn't expect it to be of a high quality.

I dislike Ryanair in general but do appreciate their no frills approach when it means I can afford 2 weekends away instead of one etc.

Like others will say and have said in the past - if you don't like it then use someone else. If you want to get there cheap and don't care much about stuff along the way use Ryanair.

I wouldn't go so far as saying I've any particular hatred for them, on the outside they're just a flying bus company (a cranky, unreliable one). The food you can buy on board is actually fairly ok (had a nice breakfast thingy a short while ago) and the new line of tea tastes nice.

Hearing things like this though shows them up for what they really are - a customer-bashing monster of a company with no moral centre.

Put him in charge of the country for a laugh! No frills Ireland ftw

Edit: That should be no frills Ireland at no frill prices. We have **** all amenities in the Country and pay through the nose for them!

The 1 problem with that could be his toilet tax idea extended to everyday use :( although we might get hygienic public toilets that you wont catch the ghey from!

O'Leary's a legend. He tells it like it is and doesn't go in for any of that PC claptrap. O'Leary should run this country - no better man to sort out the mess we're in...

    Etc.

    Yawn.

In fairness, I've nothing against the airline - dirt cheap is always good, and the no-frills/charging small amounts for everything... well this is a necessity - gotta get money from somewhere.
    Brilliant businessman too.

But seems like a bullying bollox.

Roe says he is surprised by the tone Ryanair took, but he's pretty much alone in feeling that way. A couple of commenters mentioned the airline's reputation for lousy customer relations, and one asked, "I'm curious; is defensive aggression something Ryanair provide training in, or is it something they explicitly look for when hiring someone?"
Hmm who knows ? good question
It might be the former. Francis Tuke, a spokeswoman for the Association of British Travel Agents, told CNN that Ryanair is famous for not really caring what customers think. "They treat their customers with contempt," she said. "This is the way Ryanair conducts its business."
Now that's the thing ,they dont give a **** what their customers think and that more than anything is why people rant at Ryanair more then anything ,not their '' cheap fares, take it or leave it '' mentality deal ...probably .;)

Ryanair jobs are the closest to slave labour as it gets so its unlikely he works for ryanair.

TBH i'm a fan of Ryanair, yes the seats are way too small for anybody over 6 foot, they play ridiculous music when they are on time, their air hostesses are extremely unattractive, customer service is atrocious...but they are always on time, rarely lose baggage and are extremely cheap.

Without them i would never have been really drunk in Latvia, France, Germany, etc.
