Regarding redundancy, it depends on when you got redundant? If you were made redundant lately then you would be entitled to tax back if you have paid tax from January to the date you were made redundant. You must wait a minimum of four weeks before you can submit your claim. The form you need to complete is P50 with parts two and three of your P45 to be submitted with it.
Also statutory redundancy is not taxed. If you also received Ex gratia redundancy there are exemptions that can be applied.
    Hope this helps! :)

Stamps is basically another word for PRSI contributions. You get one stamp per week worked up to maximum of 52 per year. They are basically a type of insurance which means if you become unemployed you can use your stamps to claim unemployment benefit. I am not sure how many stamps you have to have before you can do this, whether it is a years worth or three years worth. If you don't have enough stamps you can claim unemployment assistance, which is means tested.

You must send in the original otherwise your claim will be returned requesting that it be submitted with the original copies. If you start a new job all you need to do then is contact Revenue a week before you start with the employers registration number and Revenue will then send details out to your new employer so that you will not be on emergency tax. :)
