Loop Pedals, Loop Stations, Loop machines....

Can anyone recommend any? For guitar.

Only experience i have is with an Akai Headrush pedal.
Looking for something that will save the loops too.

Any suggestions welcome.

I'm not sure of any of them that will save the loops, maybe the BOSS will do that. I think it's called the RC-20 or something.

I have a Headrush E2 and am pretty happy with it. It doesn't save the loops but that doesn't really bother me.

I love my Headrush too. It's the first one, goes on the blink every now and then but it's been through a lot of wear and tear. Many's a time I've been tempted to buy another one so i can use the delay and loop function at the same time.

Being able to record the loops would be nice though, for use in playback, I suppose i can marry it to ableton something or other.

Ok, just checked out a few and the Digitech JamMan does exactly what you need. It uses Flash cards to store the loops. Takes up to 2GB cards. :cool:

Thomann are the cheapest at €225. http://www.thomann.de/ie/digitech_jamman_looper.htm

I checked GAK & Dolphin and both of those are more expensive. Xmusic didn't have it on their site.

After hearing Quattroste putting his Akai through its paces I've been pining for one. I was very impressed with it and it seemed easy to use (I'm a bit useless when it comes to complicated guitar gadgets).
Make sure and post a review raindog if you buy the Digitech - I'd love to hear what you thought of it vs the Akai.

If you're looking to get a headrush E2 I got mine from Dolphin Music. They're probably the cheapest place around for them.

I've got the zvex lo-fi loop junky which is deadly at the odd wobbly type of loop stuff! sold my headrush but it was a cool pedal alright,i'll probably get the EH memory man with hazarai when i have the cash

Yeah, the Boss range of loop pedals (there are a few) save the loops. You can store up to 11 loops (up to 16 minutes total) on the one I have (RC-20XL). Got mine in the states for around €300 and it was worth the money. However, if I bought it here at the Irish RRP, I don't think it would have been worth that much (I think it's nearly €600).

Sound Shop drogheda has 'em for €233 if you dont want to do the online bit.

i have the GNX4 pedal by didgitech which is agreat practice tool which is a multitrack recorder,looper,fx unit etc etc.
Great unit for the price.i got mine from thomann.

I bought the Boss rc-20 last year and can have no complaints yet..I have'nt really used it to its full potential though yet, just use it for messing around with...I started a thread like this before and was told about it and glad i went for it.
