I always quite liked Avram Grant. Whatever about his abilities as a coach, he seems like a nice guy, who's head was on the chopping board the minute he took the job.

Yeah, not great there, though the two worst after him were Ballack and Lampard.

I'm surprised Terry didn't slip taking his... :pac:

tbh I'm not sure a crossbar exists that could withstand the impact of so many footballs hitting it in succession :pac: So no, United aren't allowed play

the guy who picked chelsea up and got them to within a gnats cock of the title and the european cup, who's successor, the great "Big Phil" did an awful lot less with more or less the same team?

    Yeah, crap coach:D

I know several people who met him during his days at pompey and they all agree actually, he is a top bloke. i would love to see him back at Fratton Park.

I didn't mean he's a crap coach, in fact I think he's very underrated. I just didn't want to get into a discussion of his coaching abilities, instead note that he seemed like a nice guy.

But looks like my attempts to avoid that discussion were in vain :p

I spotted that, but I thought I would get my retaliation in first :D
