I'm looking for putty that I can fashion little things out of and then bake them solid. Can anyone tell me what the correct name for this stuff is in arts & craft circles first of all? Putty? Mawla? I'd like a good few different colours too. Do you know a good make? And where to get it online? Thanks.

Its called polymer clay, but its not real clay (its polyvinyl chloride suspended in plasticiser) but it acts like clay.

The only one I am familiar with is fimo and I don't really have much experience with it. The mawla we had in school is probably cheaper stuff..

I know art shops usually carry fimo you buy it in small blocks and theres a selection of colours. You can mix filmo blocks together to create colours like red and yellow mixed together you will have orange etc.

    its on ebay....

Would have answered sooner but I thought there would be a few experts here........

So can you throw this fimo stuff in the oven and make it harden?
