I was thinking that aswell but surely then the sirens woulda been on when entering the junction, esp when red lights, instead of half way through!

Nearest District HQ to us rang us up one Saturday night to tell us they had tried to arrest one of our citizens but let him off cos they couldnt stop laughing.

One of their patrol cars came across 2 males tryin to kick down the door of a niteclub after they were ejected. On seeing the patrol car our highly intelligent and inebriated citizen took off like a gazelle across the street, tripped on the kerb and went head first into a steel door thus knocking him out. Ambulance was called and he came around with a rather large bump on his head. The lads said they would have felt bad arresting or prosecuting him after his self inflicted punishment.

Should have been arrested for his own safety, obviously didnt have the mental capacity to look after himself :P

Ah the Gardaí realised he knocked a bit of sense in to himself and besides the amount of bruising to his ego would have been a lot worse then being locked up in a cell for the night
