Semester 2 calender

    Hi Just wondering, in Semester 2 do we get a week off from the 16th for reading week, then are we back for 2weeks, then we get another 2 off for easter??

    Yeah, that's the way I read it. Review week is the week beginning 16 March. The Easter break starts on Friday, 3rd April (I think) and we're back on Monday 20th?

    Yeah, wow that's pretty cool!.. after 6weeks off I wasn't looking forward to going back at all, but that makes it a bit better!:P...

    Why can't DIT only put up these calenders when they are actually finalised?
    I am timetabled for a few first year classes on my timetable as usual:rolleyes:

    Academic calendar for the year is available at dit.ie - academic affairs - academic calendar - usually put up about 3-6 months before the academic year starts.
    Read the calendar carefully re review week (week 6). New material cannot be introduced during this time, but it can be used for lab assessments/inclass written assessments, assignments, field trips, etc. So, before you go planning your 'time off', check with your tutor/course director whether there is anything planned for you that week..you may be in for a rude surprise and a week full of assessments...
