Have you a favourite saga from the series?

Not really. Frieza maybe because I loved that as a child, they became super Saiyan etc Loved the idea of the power level scouters.

Where did everybody first start watching Dragonball? For me it was with Toonami, and what a time, and channel that was. I watched Dragonball first, then started following DBZ on the same channel shortly after. I remember that it wouldn't be uncommon for me to go down into the sitting room, turn on the TV, watch a DBZ double bill, and maybe an episode of GT, then Samurai Jack to round it off. Great times. Except for school in the next morning, for which I might have four, or if I had homework to finish, two hours sleep.

I never had toonami, I had to stop watching anime for years when Cartoon Network created that channel and moved all their decent programming to it.

I saw bits and pieces of the original US run of the namek saga but didnt get into it until toonami ran the cell saga.

I'm pretty sure toonami showed the whole Buu saga of the course of a weekend. I vaguely remember an all nighter in a net cafe and coming home and trying to stay awake the next morning when I realised what I was going to miss :(
DBZ works best in a marathon..

Or maybe I was just hallucinating

I do like your thinking there, man. Two best morning foods and the greatest series in history. Ah brings back memories of being 12 and toonami was still there.

Whereas the Americans only lost Toonami in late 2008... and all started screaming about it. Lucky bastards.

Just gonna try and bring this back to actual DBZ here, Cell saga was the best saga, though I will always love the part in the Frieza saga where Goku first transforms. *sigh* Ah, memories.:)

Best movie was Cooler's Revenge (first Cooler flick) and Bardock is just a legend.

    How's that for quick appreciation?:D

i have to say i think the frieza saga is the best.

But again what was the deal with the garlic jr saga was it just filler between frieza and cell

    Yes.

Well considering that Garlic Jr. only appeared once before in the first DBZ movie, then yeah, you'd have to say it was filler.

I fricken knew it. What was there, like 10 or less episodes of crap. i did kinda like the bit where piccolo and kami are under the thing with the white water mist stuff
