Lil Wayne - Da Carter III

Def not the best album or near it but its the most enjoyable. Not recommened for the underground crowd. I agree with people who say he over uses the word "like" and other simile's but his rhymes are enjoyable and quiet funny. You have to listen to the album for a while until you'll start to enjoy it. Each song is completely different and the beats are amazing. It's also a bit of a break from the artist's nowadays who constantly market "gangsta ****".

**** LIL WAYNE - ITS NOT GOOD HIP HOP. ITS BELOW PAR POP MUSIC!

and u shudn't have to listen to something a few times before u start to like it, u shud know if u like something the first time you hear it. granted every now and then a certain song can grow on you but not a whole album, if that does happen, ur just dropping your standards each time you listen to it

I would highly recommend Q-Tip's new album, 88-keys(death of an adam), Royce da 5'9(Bar exam 2, its a mixtape you can download it for free just search), and another one I really like is Black Spade.

I also think Pacewon and Mr Green's last album was excellent!

Can't agree with this at all; some albums are understated and subtle, and demand repeated listens.

Of course, I'm thinking more about electronic or folk albums here, as Hip-Hop is probably the least subtle music genre, and revels in overstatement, but nonetheless... ;)
