How long should a razor blade last?

    Okay then, i'm usually good to get about 3 weeks out of 1 blade, ie. a Mach 3 disposable jobbie. But I got thinking, and they are made from some sort of steel or something, should they last longer?

    What are you guys getting out of an equivelent?

    3 weeks is a long time. Best I ever got was 4 days. Multibalde cartridges are not made of the best of anything, and are designed to wear down quickly.

    Jesus, I shave 6 days a week and I keep using the same blade for 2-3 months!

    I get about 8 weeks out of a Mach 3. I use an electric razor first to get the heavy stuff off. I also have a goatie so less surface area to shave!

    I only shave once every 3 days or so, after the shower. Get about 10-12 shaves out of a fusion blade.

    There have been a few different sites I've seen that have reported on radio host Clark Howard getting a whole year out of his 17c disposable razor.
