what to look for in a digital piano?

Iv been asked to help someone pick out a digital piano, but not being able to play the piano, I dont know the first thing about digital piano's.

From reading online it seems i should look for one with weighted keys and "hammer touch" to be moderately realistic.

Requirements are that the unit not be too big and theres a bit of a budget also ( perhaps around 500 ish).

Can you please tell me other features to look for in a digital piano, and possibly a recommendation of a particular model?

To be honest, it would be better if the intended owner played the instrument before purchasing. But at any rate, weighted hammer action keys is a must.

Try this out for openers. Within budget and free delivery. Also this.

I have both an acoustic upright piano and a hammer action keyboard and I have to say that I'd prefer to play the real thing any day. The reality is that the synth is so much more versatile in so many ways but it will never feel like the real thing.
