Girlfriends who text nonsense and too many phone calls

When will they realise we don't want texts to tell us they lost a contact lens/ate a pizza for dinner/ ask us how lunch was (in the middle of the working day)?
Why do they wonder if there's something wrong if, after a full day of e-mailing back and forth, we don't call them for a chat that evening?
WHY, do they call, talk for an hour, then when hanging up say they will call later to say goodnight?!
Why do they think we have any interest in the new dress they are going to buy?
What is this thing about having to be in CONSTANT touch all the time and why don't they realise it means we start to dread hearing from them and start thinking about breaking up?

    Stop dating psycho's...

Don't go in for that ****. GFs, friends and mates are trained VERY early on that I can live for up to ten days without once looking at a mobile, and snailmail is generally quicker than email with me.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

And if you turn the mobile off to get away from it all they're just short of calling the gardai because they were "worried".

Note: They arent actually going to call the 5-O of course, they just want to make such a big deal of you being incommunicado that you'll never try it again

Sounds like a new relatioship. Is she in her early 20's? This will all die down once she gets to know you and see's you're a moany git!

Why do you have to take it out on the internet? :-(

    a) send her a link to this thread, enlighten her.

    b) Red card her.

Because you're probably paying for it and can give your bank a heads up so they can move some cash around to cover it?:D

ha! no - nearly a year - was ok at first but it hasn't stopped - and apart from the 2 other guys in work general feedback from others, including a married mate, is that this is par for the course with a majority of women.
What's moany about wanting to have a life where I can do something on my own or be aloone for 6 hours of a day without having a text asking me what I am doing? It gets kinda annoying! And yes I have brought it up - but was told "but I hardly get to see you" as a reason.
Anyway - you defend the stupidity of texting someone to tell them you just ate a pizza?? Gimme your num,ber and I will tell you my day as it unfolds and see how long you last before hiring a hitman..!

No no no. You will not be getting my number. I'm an adult and didnt need to know what my ex was doing every min of the day.

All i'm saying is, she seems a bit young? Maybe this is her first serious relationship and she's a bit excited? Ah i dont know, i grew out of that phase years and years ago.
