Standing up or Sitting down?

How do you wipe after doing your business, this is a long standing debate between me and a few friends (no pun intended), have to say some people where surprised at the idea of people standing and vice versa. Hopefully this might but an end to the debate as to which way is the normal way. This should be interesting...

If you stand up straight then your cheeks stick together and so does the "stuff".

How do you wipe your as* sitting down? Japenese fancy toilet is it?

I dont expect any one to answer really on account of the guaranteed ban and lock for the OP.
