Traffic Management Channel

Does anyone know if there are any plans to introduce a Traffic Management Channel (TMC) in Ireland? I've got a Garmin Nuvi with traffic receiver, but as there's no TMC here yet, this feature is currently redundant.

It is live in an around Belfast but most of NI and the Republic don't have it.
