I suspect what you had in your smoothie was horse hair which is used to clean alot of equipment. I had the same problem from the polish bakery when it was on capel street.

Dont believe OP said it was in the top ten disgusting things to happen to anybody?... I think they said it was the worst thing that ever happened to them... unless i'm mistaken... which is highly doubtful! :P

Ah right ,disgusting is in the thread title and not in her top 10 but how many times will you pull a hair from a cup of tea ,coffee ,drink etc ? I would say it's a regular occurence but would rate it low on my most disgusting tbh .

Thinking about how far it is to the weekend now is upsetting... :(

Actually i corrected your typo without mentioning it.. "tolerAnce" is the correct form... and it was meant as sarcasm when i was pretending turbulence was my understanding of tolerance...

Doesnt work when you have to explain it all though... moment is lost... :(

OP how you feeling now?... what did you decide to do?

lol @ having lived a very sheltered life...

    I would like to disagree..

Ask me 3 questions to determine outright if this is correct ? :D

E.g. Have you ever ski-dived etc? (unfortunately the answer is no to that too though! :()

Many moons ago (when I were a young lad ;)), I went to a telephone box on O Connell Bridge in Dublin to make a call.

I had picked up the receiver and put in my 10p (or whatever it was at the time) before I noticed a rather foul smell in the box. Turns out some depraved idiot had smeared excrement into both the earpiece and mouth piece. I assume the excrement was human, but I didn't remove any for forensic examination.

Needless to say I dropped the handset PDQ. The 10p fell into the return slot and I put in my fingers to retrieve it. The slot was stuffed with excrement also but I had already pawed it . Even after almost 20 years I can still recall my disgust.

I believe this "prank" was common for a while around Dublin.
