Is there anybody else on here that uses travian? I was using it up until a while ago, but my account got cancelled and have only went back on tonight. I was thinking of making an alliance if anybody is interested, it would take me a while though to get up to that level. It is quite a cool little game. Have a look and let me know what you think.

I've been travelling for a while and seems a lot of ppl play it over here. I was thinking of playing it but i'm afraid I'd get hooked and go down the 'ol unproductive route.

I gave up playing travian, too many bully's!! It is very addictive. Great fun when its played properly and your not used as somebody's farm.
Or when alliances get too big i think it ruins the game because then nobody helps against attacks.

Currently have 21 villages in 3x speed server, 4 villages in server 5 and 1 village in server 2.

hows every1 getting on in travian ?
im playing in s2, just building my 4th village(a 15c)
been farmed for the past 2 months ! really annoying !

I'm on server 5.

Got farmed by a complete ****er ... would now know a bit more about building up an army and avoiding getting completely screwed over. Getting farmed by the 30th highest ranking player was not nice .. just nothing one could do against the attacks coming in.

I killed that account and restarted .. building up a proper defensive force. hoping to get my second town this week ...

Have started randomly attacking a few people as well ... semi farmed one guy who had attacked me at the start of the game for a day then I left him alone as he's a neighbour.

Its ... addictive ... its too addictive ... I think I'll have to quit before it ends up ruining my life

the guy that was farming my clan ! is like the top 20 14th atm.
he has nearly the same amount of population in his village has half all our villages combined. 20k/36k

Why cant my population have more sex !!!

I lost interest in it all together. Maybe we should make an alliance of boards.ie users. I am going to get into the swing of things. Which server are people in? Anybody interested in having me in their alliance?

Hmm... 5 is 2 months in ...

I know theres another server starting up or just started up .. so might be a good point to start

I'm not going to join multiple servers ... 1 is enough

s6.travian.com will start on the 28th of November as a Travian Version 3.1.

Preregistration will be possible from the 26th of November.

i dont think ill be starting up another game though - one is enough for me.

I'll try out the new server. Seems I'm on server which is running 'classic' v2.5 and not v3.

ive got an attack incoming in about 45min which will be about 4k knights.
he got like 175k resources off that village over night (the bastard)
think i should leave me
Troops:
120 Clubswingers
1496 Spearmen
10 Scouts
986 Paladins
50 Teutonic Knights
10 Rams

most of them will probably get destroyed but meh.

I'm still rather small fry in it ... bu was semi getting farmed by two similar level players (I threw a few quid onto my account .. maxed out resources and defensive bonus) ... got a rather abusive message from the user.

We're only a population of 500 each and two users not the same alliance seemed to have ganged up on me ...

One with Cats launched the attack then half an hour before the Cats were due to arrive I noticed the second attack from the other user with the Horsemen of the apocalypse

(100 ish heavy cav)

There was a 2 second window between the attacks and I only had about 28 troops built up (Praetorians)

I timed it perfectly ... the cav came in to wipe me out I sent troops away and back again just in time and hey presto ... in comes his 32 clubs 18 axe 10 cats ...

wiped off the face of the planet ... I lost 22 of my 28 but I'd say his jaw dropped

...

Ah well it gave me a good buzzy feeling ... I've learnt a bit since the last time I got farmed

Edit: I should add I fired one legionaire at him after he launched his attack (I thought maybe I'd get to see how many troops he had)

Why not:
I someone attacks they'll see you're two villages are side by side though I'm not sure if its a bad thing or not
