This is not really a dump. As mentioned is someone's backyard. He is an older guy, quite private big Renault enthusiast. Most cars were good going in but as it often happens he did much less than he planned to. I was supposed to see him last week , but he is now in the hospital. He's been in and out for the last few months as he's a bit sick. Soon as he's back I'll try to visit him, ask about his plans with the cars and take more pics. We'll let him know of your interest. Anything in particular you want me to ask?

It's a bit rude posing a question and then not bothering to respond after a week!

    Yeah.
'59 or '60 Thunderbird, hard to tell without seeing the trim.
The second is a '59 Chevrolet.
The third is a '59 Buick.

Sorry bout that, the old I get the quicker the weeks fly by !!
Both had Ford V8's in them, 686CIK was me ol' Shelby Mustang, and WZY 649 was me Ford (Oz) LTD. Guess they're not around anymore if Cartell don't have them.

    that's interesting...

tell us more: what model year, imported, an original Shelby?
If it was an original shelby, more than likely it will have even left the state and could have been bought back into the US or the rest of Europe to be restored...
If you still have the chassis number, it would be much much easier to track it down with the chassis number, as most Shelby's are all accounted for, even the destroyed ones.

Spotted this Starlet today also in Havelock Square, Dublin.

It's great to see pre '87 runabouts in everyday use. :)

carchaeologist - what year? 1986? (near the end of the Dublin numbers anyway).

It was a convertable version of this ...
    http://www.mustangmonthly.com/featuredvehicles/mump_0803_1969_gt350_shelby_mustang/index.html

I still have photos, but my computer scanning skills are 0 !
It was a 69 GT350, red, I sold it to a chap in Essex who flew over with a case of UK£20's - like counting a bl**din ransom.
Suppose i shoulda kept it, but I lived near Darndale at the time and my garage wasn't too secure !!

Don't know why the link isn't posting properly,( This is the missing bit of the link - edvehicles/mump_0803_1969_gt350_shelby_must ) anyway go to Mustang monthly and put in 69 GT350 as a search - AND I DON'T WANT TO KNOW WHAT IT'S WORTH NOW - I'D BE SICKENED !

Link works fine capri, sometimes when you post links it chops off the end to post them, but it still works.
The mustang was an import here in 1975?And sold out of the country before 1993?

Saw this very rare sight on the Clontarf Road tonight. Its a Granada 2.8i Ghia X, built by Tickford (of Aston Martin Coaching building fame).

Owner told me it was built for the Royal Family. Real fancy inside. Immaculate car.

^ I think that's the same one that's always parked in front of an office building on the Airton Road in Tallaght.

I spoke to the last owner of that car a few years ago at a show in the U.K.
Its a lovely car with a great history.
Interior is trimmed by Aston Martin, it has Aston badges on it!
