JSP - Display image only if exists

Does anyone know if there is a way to display a link to an image file in a JSP page but only if the image exists?

I am pulling some information from a database via my jsp file and I then build a web link with an img. However, not all off the elements have images attached and the resulting webpage displays the spacer where the image should be and looks pretty bad.

Anyone know a way around this?

Here is the line at the moment that builds the page with containing links. Not sure if this is what you mean or not? The line previous connects to the database and pulls back the <%=title%> string.

you need to have a get method in your connection bean and call it. i.e.

myConnectionBean.getTitle()

Is the image name not stored in your database along with Title?

If it's not then you'll have to write a function to iterate through all images on the page and check that the size is great than Zero.

Nope, the image isn't store in the DB, thats part of the problem. Thanks for the link.

Having a bit of a nightmare with this......I have changed thought a little. Does anyknow how I might scrap a generated page of images and if there are any images with size of 1x1 then either remove them or generate another page with them excluded?
