Loose Shafts

    Hi,

Been having problems with the shafts of my darts constantly loosening after every throw. A bit annoying constantly having to tighten them.

Anybody have a solution for this? I am considering using a small dab of super glue, but I am worried I might mess up the darts.

The shafts are plastic, would switching to metal ones be better?

    Thanks

Dont go the glue route, just experiment with different shafts till you find one that suits you.

The top of some shafts are loose so the flights spin on contact with each other and aid close grouping, dont work imo. All metal are another no no imo, you can never get the thread in tight and they come loose after a long session.
Plastic thread and a fixed plastic or metal top for the flight.

have trouble with that myself, found out that one of my darts had worn treads. don't know what type of stem you are useing but if there metal buy these little tihngs called O-rings they make a tight seal on your darts so they don't loosen. they sell them in mikes bikes in dun laoghaire cost about 25c for a pack of three.

    O-rings are your best bet.

If you can't find them, take a small piece of plastic wrap and screw it into the barrel of your dart. It is thin enough not to damage the stem/barrelof your darts and it holds very well.
