We have completed our investigation of this case. We attempted to process a refund from the seller's account to your account. Unfortunately, the seller's account does not contain the funds necessary to cover this refund. We were able to recover £0.00 GBP. We have taken action against the seller and are working to recover the remainder of your refund. We will contact you when we have more information. No further action is required of you at this time.

Will Paypal reimburse me? Like do they not cover 500 or 1000 now ffs? I am waiting over a month at this stage and after escalating it to a claim, waiting 8 days for the thieving fcuker to ignore, they come back with the message above.

I am just wondering has anyone experience and as cases go what will be the outcome?

How much do they owe you? How did they rip you off? Remember, Paypal will have all of their personal details.

But if the transaction is listed in your paypal, then that is proof? PS: Did you leave him negative feedback?

If it's not in their account then you won't get anything.

''Taken action against the seller'' means ''we have sent them an email''.

If you paid the funds to paypal through your credit card, then just contact VISA or whatever and do a chargeback.

Make sure to make paypal aware you are intending todo this though and give them 5 working days to reply, with the refund, before you do a chargeback.

I bought a PS3 from ebay for over €300 and it was all refunded. I paid for it, it didnt come and I escalated into a claim. Dont be put under pressure to take half or the compensation package they offer. This is what paypal told me if they couldnt get all the money (which thankfully they did):

"If the seller's account has insufficient funds to complete the refund owed to you, please be assured that we will take appropriate action against the seller's account, which may include limitation of the seller's account privileges",

    Hope this helps

Yes but gather every bit of evidence together that you can, especially that from Paypal and also act now rather than later. I think the time limit is 6 months but if you act sooner rather than later it makes it easier for the bank/visa company.

Contact the numebr on the back of your credit card and speak to them for more in depth information. Have done this lots of times myself when I've been stung in the past and even when paypal refused to honour a claim of seeking a refund due to it being "virtual goods".

I really appreciate that man thanks.

This is the first time I have ever been stung on Paypal and have made well over 100 transactions. Certainly a bit of an eye opener though and I will get into taking note of feedback again, haven't bothered with that in a long time.
