Title says it all. If you had to pick a few things to tax, be it everyday products/services or luxury items etc., what would they be? Something along the lines of the chewing gum tax?

Good idea. They could tax all food products at an additional 20% across the board. They could then give an increase tax credit to workers depending on number of mouths to feed. this credit would more than cover the increase in prices for a reasonable amount of food per person but if you are buying too much i.e. getting fat, it would cost ya

I would tax off license drink much higher and put a conversion tax on items bought in to the country from the north or other european states. And before anyone says that would be illegal, the government do it with cars so?

Yes and the government just picked up €500,000,000 worth of stuff there yesterday. That would reduce government borrowing a bit:D

Complaining about others and willingly interfering in others lifes and habits just for the sake of self glorification
It is public enemy number one and should be taxed to the ground!
