I don't think there are any to be honest. I know that there is a Bus Eireann route that goes Dundalk-Navan-Athlone and on to the west I think it ends up in Galway. Though it could be Westport or something either which wouldn't be quite as helpful.

There is a decent enough service between Dundalk and Galway by Bus Éireann. 2 buses a day in either direction, me thinks, well, it was that way when I was in college in Dundalk. It could be more now.
