    Hi guys,
My best friend has just got engaged to a fab guy! One small problem(but HUGE to the Catholic Church) is that she can;t get married in a church! She longs for the church wedding and is completely heartbroken! Her fiance is too is catholic and both are regular mass goers!!! Its breaking her heart that she cant have a priest bless their marraige???
Are there any ways around this???
Are there any priests out there willing to bend the rules?
Anyone been in a similar situation????

    MG

A friend of mine encountered this and couldn't get a priest to marry them. Some would do a blessing but only for them and she had more the picture your friend had of the church wedding with all the family and friends there. I have heard stories of priests that will do it... but think they are few and far between.
    Sorry i'm not more positive....

    Hi,

I got married recently and a minister from the Unitarian Church performed a beautiful ceremony. I know they're not catholic but the beauty about that church is that they welcome all denominations. You can still have your religious ceremony if you want. PM me if you want any more details.

Someone else mentioned Pat Buckley. He'll definately do a catholic ceremony if you want him to. I spoke to him when I was sussing out what type of service I wanted and he sounded very nice.

I'd say its at the descretion of the P.P to be honest. My friend married a muslim in a catholic church.
