I was wondering if removing the pebbledash from the redbrick front of my house would be possible or worth the effort. Is it likely the brickwork underneath would be ruined in the process?

Depends on the thickness and type of render. Its normal for render to be quite thick and well stuck to the clay brick.

You will be unlikely to remove the render without damaging the brick finish. The smooth surface of the brick is likely to stay stuck to the render.

Why was it rendered in the first place?
Did the brick allow excessive water penetration?
