Recommended Hip-Hop clubs in New York ?

    I'm going to New York in less than 3 weeks, does anyone have good recommendations of clubs that they've been 2 there. Been there before, thought china club was decent enough, 40/40 wasn't great and lotus was only alright, Any feedback greatly appreciated .

    Club Aer 409 W 13th St!! Was there back in 2006 and had a good night! Was pretty much locked going into the city that night and got a cab there from times square i think, and i reckon it was less than 15 bucks!

    Obviously easier ways of getting there i.e. underground! but we were in a rush for more alcohol!

    Anyway the club was well packed, its not a full blown hip hop club but the DJ banged out Young Joc "its going down" at the time so that made it for me! An absolute banger in a nightclub imo!

    UIf you pre-book an area in 40/40 it's a good night, just bull**** them a bit, they love that ****.

    what is 40/40 like? how strict are they about who they let in? is it expensive, etc?

    Eh, yeah it's pretty ****ing pricey TBH but I had a good night with a few friends and thought it was worth it.

    Just dress well, no trainers or jearesys and don't act the muppet and you'll get in.

    and like I said, reserve a table so you don't have to cue, althought theres a minimum tab when you do that.
