Hi all, I've just overseas to SE Asia and drank in a few Irish themed bars on my travels, shame only two were actually Irish owned. What do you think about the names; we had many converastions over what we'd call an Irish bar overseas. Here are some of the examples we came across and feel free to rate them.

    O'Reillys,
    Molly Malones,
    Hanrahans,
    Finnegans,
    Tropical Murphys'
    Muddy Murphys,
    The Dubliner,
    Sheannigans,
    Irish Exchange.

Waht would you name a bar? And whats the best bar you've drank in Ireland :)

Or the one from the Firkin chain which has caused me some serious hangovers in the dim and distant past:

The Firkins I used to frequent never got quite as adventurous with their pub names as they could have done though I think.

Not irish pub names, but there is a pub in Glasgow called The Muscular Arms and I was in a pub in Dumfries called The Hole in the Wall

The Hole in the Wall used to be my local when I lived on the Navan Road. It's the longest pub in Ireland (something like 330 feet long) and is separated into loads of smaller bars down its length. Great place, must pay it a visit some time.

Slightly off-topic but worst pub name - The Igoe Inn, Ballybrack

    What about "the Seven Blessings"?

I dont think it actually exists but it would be a class name. Name 7 types of drink and try to have one (or two) from each in one night.

Beer, ale, stout, cider, whiskey, port, vodka

I dont count alcopops as real drinks.

I think it's kinda good, in a way, Beeblebrox.

I think the best is "Free the Paedos"

And for a serious one, "Scruffy Murphy's" sounds irresistable.

    How about the Camán Inn?
