Ok considering the answer hasn't been verified as yet and i'm an impatient man..

What Sopranos star also starred in The Godfather Part II.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,080 ✭✭✭kenco

    Dominic Chianese (Junior)???

Only thinking that due to the age profile?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 238 ✭✭EARMUFFS

Yep he played johnny ola in Godfather 2..

    Q?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,453 ✭✭✭✭Collie D

A while since I played this so can't remember if whoever got the question right has to ask the nex question or if anyone can jump in. Apologies if the former.

Sticking with the Godfather, who played Johnny Fontane in the first part? Hint, he's playing in Dublin next month.

based his performance on the next individual,

Name the all wildlife ie real birds & animals that have been used on Irish coinage since 1928. There's more than you think.

    Woodcock - farthing

    Pig & piglets - ha'penny

    Hen & chicks - penny

    Rabbit - threepenny bit

    Irish Wolfhound - sixpenny bit

    Bull - shilling

    Salmon - two shillings

    Horse - half crown

They're the only ones I remember. And yes I'm old enough to have bought a sweet for a farthing. ;)

EDIT: Oops... just remembered the Raven on the 1966 10 shilling piece.

One more to go on regular coinage and 4 to go on special/commemorative coins.

Stag on the pound. I can't think of any commemorative coins except the Millenium 50p, was there a bird on that? And the Millenium pound, but that had a boat.

    Do these count?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 16,786 ✭✭✭✭Hagar

Stag is correct. The others are a bit more obscure.

    Thought we were talking pre-decimilisation.

Okay. The Raven on the ten shilling coin (1966)

Red Deer (stag) on the pound coin

Woodcock returns on the 50p piece

Bird design on the half penny and the one new penny.

    Bull again on the 5p

    Salmon on the 10p

    Horse on the 20p

Dove on the UN commemorative 1 pound coin.

Scratching me head to remember more now. :D

    Well done. :D
    The Raven is sneakey.:D

/edit I didn't count the mythical birds on the copper coins.

    Two to go.

    Clue both birds.

To be fair the commemorative coins are too obscure. Here's the full list.

    Woodcock 1/4d and 50p
    Pig 1/2d
    Piglets 1/2d
    Chicken 1d
    Chicks 1d
    Hare 3d
    Wolfhound 6d
    Bull 1/- and 5p
    Salmon 2/- and 10p
    Horse 2/6 and 20p
    Stag £1

    Special commemorative issued coinage

    Raven 1966 10/-
    Dove £1 1995
    Stag 5/10/50 ECU 1990
    Swan £5 and €10 2004
Unnamed flock of birds 2008 €10

Rashers to go next I think.

Humble apologies folks but I have been out of action for a week with no access to any elements of the interweb!

Its the Shelbourne Hotel! There is a episode in one of the last couple of series where Tony calls his Lawyer (think he was arrested for concealed gun) who answers in his suite in the Shelbourne as he is there for his daughters graduation!

    Sorry for the delay
