My friend and her husband are hoping to adopt from Thailand, can anyone tell me how long do you need to be married before starting the process? Also if there is anyone that has adopted from Thailand, can you offer any advice please??

With regard to length of time married, I don't think there is a "rule" as such, not in Ireland anyway.

You have to be married 3 years but you can adopt as a single person in a relationship, but only one of you is the legal adoptive parent. Pathetic, but thats the system for you!
