Getting married in Gougane Barra West cork??

    Hi All,
    One of my pals wants to get married in Gougane Barra West cork, anyone get married there or know anything about it?? Cheers Guys xx ;)

    Cousin of mine got married there.

    The church is tiny. You'll fit around 40 people in relatively comfortably and if you really squash them in, you'll get possibly up to 60. But it is ridiculously cramped.

    If the guest list is larger than this, I would suggest not inviting everyone to the ceremony. Some people do this and expect people to stand outside. Standing outside is pointless - you can't see or hear what's going on inside.

    It is a smashing location and if the church was any way bigger we would be jumping on it. Now you will have guests most likely getting lost on the way would be the other down side. This should give you the numbers for the local pp. Should also give details on some of the other lovely churchs dotted around west cork.

    As for hotels I'm not sure how good the one next to the church are, have heard some ok reviews and some poor reviews. Never any outstanding reviews. After that my knowledge of places would all be based around Glandore/Ross/Clon which would be 40min to and hour away.
