Thought I'd wander around the Science building in UCD a bit before all the students went back to class!

Was down in Limerick and ended up in Annacotty for lunch on the Sunday. The Mill Bar has a really nice view from the balcony so i do some shots. The below was attached to a disused weir, for changing the gate level. It was in shadow while the ground all around it was very sunny so i had a play with keeping some of the detail on the outsides a bit over exposed to try and give a send of 3D in the pic.

I live in Annacotty,. I must head down to the Mill with the camera more often. There's a couple of herons about there usually too.

In keeping with the current theme.

Not the sharpest shot in the world but I still like the look of this, had to use ISO 3200 due to no available light.

Taken in aquarium in Mystic Seaport, USA.

I received my new 400D yesterday, i'm all excited!!:D Haven't really had a chance to use it properly (or even figure out how it works!) but it's quite clear from the generic snaps i've taken the quality is fantastic.

    Beach grass after rain

A lot of manipulation in lightroom, and it looks better bigger.

Another one from the weekend. Couldn't quite get his arse in focus, thus strengthening the case for the purchase of a macro lens.
