IR Problem on New NTL UPC Digital Harddrive Box

I've tried moving the IR flasher to various position on the front of the box but no joy. Does anyone know where the IR receiver is located on these boxes or if there is any known problems with this box when using an IR repater??

Yeah this seems to be a big problem with these boxes, I had the same problem, I kinda have it working now but it's not great, see my original post.

Thanks for that ellobee, I was trying to avoid putting a digi sender at my plasma as I have just got an extension built and wired it and existing house myself. I ran plenty of Cat V, Coax , HD, Hi Res cables etc. The last thing I wanted to do was sit a digisender on top of the TV. Any way I just bought [an illegal box] from Ebay and it's working fine so I just stuck the UPC DVR onto another TV in another room.
I'll be hooking up My Wii bar through the IR repeater so hope that doesn't use IRDA! Thanks again for your responce.

This is illegal. You are breaking the law doing this.

It's also illegal to explain to others how to steal Pay TV.

You are not anonymous and UPC can get a court order...
