Ballymun Station Officially Open?

    Is the new Ballymun Garda Station officially open or are they going to do some kind of ceremony? (I don't know how it works :o )

    Are they still using the old station beside the shopping centre for some things?

    Has anyone seen the inside??

    Nah only seen it from driving by, last i heard it was 80% functioning but that was early july, presume they're working out of it but hasn't been officially opened yet

    Oh yea there will be all the bells and whistles for the official opening, minister for justice, garda commish and more dress uniforms then you can shake a stick at. They'll probably use the old station that day keep the scrotes who are arrested away from the head honcho's

    Are there even cells in the old station??? Anytime I've had an incident (car stolen from outside apartment), the Gardai from Santry called up. Maybe that has something to do with my location at the top of Ballymun Road/Junction with Santry Avenue.

    Does anyone know when the opening will be?

    open fully from monday. yes there were cells in the old station, only 2 though
