Honeymoon in America??

Getting married next May and would like to have the honeymoon in America, 4/5 days in New York for sightseeing, shopping etc and then a chillout, relaxing week somewhere else by the beach etc. Anyone got any advice on such a place to go in the States for that type of holiday??? All suggestions welcome!!

San Diego for the relaxing week and Chicago is even better than New York for shopping. If you insist on NY then go to Jersey Gardens instead of Woodbury Common. In actual fact you should just head to Las Vegas to get married and save fortune

+1 on Chicago, never thought I'd be sitting on a beach enjoying the sun there, but we did! We went in Aug/Sept, weather was great, very hot. As for the shopping, its fantastic.
