Whats with this resurgence of the AOH?

last friday afternoon the main st of cavan was closed of for this world party parade of AOH! now there must have been 30 odd lodges of them, all with marching bands! it took 2 hours for the whole lot to pass.

now i saw kids and everything parading along with their banners.

dont get me wrong but i think the blueshirts took over the AOH donkeys years ago.

Why the sudden mental interest in them now?

tbh, no ive noticed this in the last few months in the national press(es), there seems to be a bit of a renewed interest nationally in the Ancient Order of the Hibs!

I don't see why, he is starting a discussion about the AOH, the fact that he mentioned Cavan in the post is pretty unimportant.

AOH in Cork are a group of tossers, I used play snooker in their club.. Down with that sort of thing!

so any opinions on them? i canna figure them out? they were apparently started out to protect catholics in americay but i think since then they got sabotaged by both the church and the blueys!

I just don't see how it would fit into religion or politics. An AH mod has decided it doesn't belong there and I don't see why it should be closed. Opinions on a postcard please
