    Hi,
am making my own wedding invitations (my first time of making cards) and i ve done everything except write my name & my partners name in front of d card. the idea i had is not working
could order a stamp but its expensive & will take at least 10 working days. time i dont have.
please does anyone know any quick way to go about doing this, or any computer programs i could use to create a stencil / stamp with our names.
please let me know soon. i am out of time
    thanks

I don't know if this helps. but if you are out of time, rather than installing/ looking for programmes, have you thought about downloading some nice fonts, and printing them out on card rather than paper and cutting the lettering out with a scalpel? You would have to be very clean with the cutting though. It's the only thing I can think of if you need it done asap.

Making a stencil would require delicate cutting.
Take card with message printed on, or card with paper message laminated on with white glue.
Cut out the letters with a scalpel.
Place over item to be printed - not in contact to avoid smearing edges - have a "frame" of card around the edge as a "spacer" to aid this tiny elevation over the subject.
Spray with aerosol and paint, or vaporiser and ink, or airbrush.
Go back with fine brush and paper-colour paint to paint-dot the centers back into your a's, o's, e's etc.

Hi, any idea which websites i could download the stencil fonts from? i tried just printing off fonts from msword but found when cuttin it that it wasnt comin out in stencil format so that when u wrote over it, it didnt like a's or d's
also didnt want to use spray, i just wanted to use glue glitter and worse case scenario a calligrapher paint marker, anymore advice?

I second asking the girls on craftsupplies.

Would simply printing the names directly onto card then cutting it out and mounting it on the front of your invite work? Printing onto watercolour paper works well, has a nice finish on it too. You could mount the rectangle with both names onto another piece of cardstock to give it more debth?

You can get pen like glue aplicators that you can write with, you could then sprinkle good glitter over it, or stickles glitter glue is particularly good for small work. try crafteire.ie for supplies of both.
