LA earthquake 7-29-2008


The morning dishes were quickly finished.
I signed a job description that did not seem to be mine.
And I was out for lunch by 11 :12.

Having already eaten breakfast,
I went out to take a nap in my car
with the seat tilted all the way back.

Felt the car shake on it’s shocks
just enough to disturb me.
The keys swung in the ignition.

I listened for I rumble and heard none,
but I could not go sleep that lunch
for the first time in months.

yeah but i normally wear a hat and a bad shirt to take away the attention!!
