FS: Option on custom built Independent Fabrications Titanium carbon fibre frameset

Hi All
I have been lucky enough to win the Rapha “crazy bet” competition. My prize is a custom built Independent Fabrication XS frame set. It is a carbon fibre / titanium frame and is a 2 year in a row winner of the winner of Bicycling Magazine’s “Best Dream Road Bike” for 2005 and 2006. I want to sell this prize to someone because:
(1) the frame is completely wasted on me. I’m a very average cyclist at best, I don’t race and have never ridden more than 100km.
(2) I don’t have another couple of grand to buy the ultegra groupset and mavic wheels to do this frame justice.
The frame set is worth £4000 in the UK distributor, anyone interested make me an offer via PM.

Green with envy! but many congratulations one of the most beautiful bikes commercially available, i was really considering buying their 953 bike from mosquito bikes but may just go for a Merlin Extralight...well done..
i entered that competitition too but was two hours off!!! IF are top of the line.

I think you'd be crazy not to keep it. Sure, you may feel that its too much bike for you now, but unless you plan on giving up cycling, you'll have it for years and get plenty out of it. I wouldn't worry at all about not having the cash for a high end group and wheels. Just whack whatever you can afford on it now and slowly upgrade it. The basis of any good bike is the frame. Everything else can be swapped out. And don't worry about not racing. There are plenty of guys out there riding fancy carbon frames and they've never raced in their lives.

keep it OP, very unlikely to find anyone willing to buy it anyway. Although a great frameset, you are competing with fully spec'd carbon bikes at £999 which are a better option for most people here.

You would be doing very well to get offered the same.
