Pretty bad showing Nintendo. Only thing that interested me was Animal Crossing and GTA Chinatown. Why the hell aint they releasing an F-Zero, Donkey Kong or Star Fox?

Highly unlikely. Nintendo are in such an incredibly strong position right now. It' s just that alot of games are aimed at non-gamers. Which is boo-urns.

very disappointed by that, more Wii sports and Wii music? Where are the GAMES!

Wasn't really expecting Mario or Zelda to make an appearence but had hoped for something that might appeal to actual gamers.

That was an atrociously, embarrassingly bad line up of games + some motion sensor that should have been part of the Wii remote from day 1...

Well that was the most disappointing Nintendo E3 since forever. Nothing for any american journalists to get excited about and whoop.

So so disapointed that there was nothing really announced of any note - I can't believe there unwillingness to tackle the real hamstringing of the console . . . the lack of a HDD.
    crazyness

Yep the E3 where they focused on connectivity was really poor but at least they showed some games to get excited about like Mario Kart, FF chronicles, zelda four swords etc. Not much on the Wii front to get excited about.

yup, this was way worse than even the Pacman VS E3

the whole thing was a huge disappointment

M$'s conference was dull, its only surprise was the FFXIII bitch slap to Sony

Sonys conferences was equally disappointing with the only big SURPRISE announcement being MAG

Nintendo's wasembarrassingly, shockingly, laughably bad, with no surprises, no big new franchises, no high profile sequels NOTHING!! for core gamers whatsoever...

All 3 disappointed, but Nintendo was especially bad...

There's MadWorld, Wario Land Shake, this thing I can't pronounce the name of and a Western release of Rhythm Tengoku DS. But obviously none of those are as exciting as mashing buttons at random to watch the Wii play music for you, right Nintendo?

I'm not remotely interested in anything they announced :(

I never thought I'd say this but I'm so glad I bought my Xbox 360

He mentions that the internal development teams behind Mario and Zelda are at work on new titles for Wii.

OK not much of an announcement or confirmation that they are new Mario & Zelda tiles (assume they are) but Nintendo prefer to drip feed the announcements that matter to gamers, this conference was to generate media coverage in the mainstream press and the return of Kid Icarus wouldn't do that. Fancy doo dads that sparkle in the sun will.

Nothing shown in the E3 presentation, Irish Halo... Nothing to make us go "Holy sh*t, a new xxxxx game". The Zelda and Mario teams are working on new games - big deal - it might be 2010 before we see them.

i'm excited about mad world just because its so different from anything else on Wii, it may well be a pile of pants in the end, as for Wario Land Shake a 2d platformer with some motion control, really? is that it? Mario World is available on the VC, aint no topping that when it comes to 2D.

I'm in no way convinced about GTA on the DS, the DS chugs along when asked to do anything but the most rudimentary 3D, anyone willing to take a bet that it will be back to top down GTA for Nintendo?

Customer: Hi, Id like to buy a new wii-remote for my new Wii game that uses 1:1 sensor
Cashier: No problem, that will be 90 euro!
    Customer:Huh?
Cashier: Well its 50 for the remote and 40 for the new Motion Plus?
Customer: So, you're telling me it's 90 euro for a game controller?
Cashier: I'm sorry. Nintendo make me do it.

Mario World is at the tippity top of its genre, but I finished that about fourteen years ago, and then several more times since. Wario Land Shake is a new 2D platformer with cel-animation-style sprites being made by Nintendo, for a home console, in 2008: I'm very excited about it.

Also, there's the Wii port of Dead Rising, which they didn't announce either.

Don't know about you guys but I'm genuinely excited about the sword game....if that's online then I can finally try and beat my friend in Canada who's a martial arts weapon freak.....with non-lethal weapons this time!

Please tell me the announced Star Wars game has the holy grail of true light sabre fights!!! Puuuurrrlease Ninty!!!

It really is two gamecubes strapped together with a motion sensitive balls.

I bought one only to play Zelda, and it's fine for that. There is no other game I want to play on Wii. I bought Boom Blox and Wii fit on the same day. Even Boom Blox dissappointed me into depression.

And the cheek of Miyamoto, to even suggest a "new" more sensitive peripheral for the Wii mote, at an extra $40 €30 whatever! Is an insult.

    Play Wii sports boxing...

    It DOESNT WORK!
