Window into the walk in wardrobe?

    I would imagine that the majority of walk in wardrobes would be bounded by internal walls and thus not have the luxury of the option of a window.

    Its obviously down to personal taste/opinion but if it was my choice I would run with a window - nothing big - maybe 450W x 1000H.

    Do you have an en-suite off the master bedroom? If not maybe you could leave the wardrobe plumbed for conversion at a later date. Another good reason to include the window would be if you ever needed a small office - throw her clothes out of the window ;)

    Window in walk-in wardrobe doubles it as a dressing room. Carefull not to have window south facing, no direct sunlight, will fade some cloths.

    Hiya metalscrubber,

    In the middle of a new build also and we have put a Vel*u light tunnel into our walkin and the light from it is amazing. They cost about €220 and can be retro fitted if you already have your roof complete ( just make sure you get the appropiate one for either slates or tiles ).Would defo reccommend putting one in. HTH

    It's not a bad idea to have natural light in a Walk in, particularly if it's to be used as a dressing room, but I would have thought that a roof window is the best way to go as a normal window uses up valuable wall space in what is normally a smallish room. Definitley a good idea to have some form of ventilation in there.

    +1 Wall space is premium in a wardrobe. My other concerns would be fading of clothes and it leaves another place for insects to enter.

    I generally put an mo4 velux in walk in wardrobes if the house isn't full two storey. Otherwise leave it out. Window would take up too much wall space
