Ive tried getting a response in the work&jobs but no joy.

Recieved a job as a testing technician(hardware) in their site in damastown. Anyone ever worked for them before. What are they like? Is it a relaxed working envoirment. Any replys would be greatly appreciated.

I spent 8 years with them , left 3 years ago for another big american company not too far away !

IBM is a pretty solid company to work for , they like procedures and people who stick to them , so thats your first priority , learn the procedures and how Big blue like to operate , once you have that down and the rest of the crew feel like they can leave you to it , then its one of the most relaxed companies your ever likely to work in , you will find that you will be pretty much left to do your job and as long as you do you'll be fine.

i used to do the same job a few years ago. Not a bad place to work. Learn as much as you can about the servers when you are there. You'll be able to go out and get a field engineer role with them or a competitor for twice the money in a couple of years.
