    And also, when I tried to post this, it took forever, then returned me to the "post new thread" screen, even though it had already posted the thread. Odd.

    Could have been the server time shift rearing its head again, ntpd doesn't seem to be doing it's job properly. Corrected.

    Yeah, technically the same issue is now happening - although now I'm getting the "You have already posted a duplicate..." message. This is probably a happy side effect of you fixing the time.

    Also painfully slow to use the AJAX functions, which may or may not be connected.

    I've come across this a few times too, takes ages to submit, then I get the duplicate message

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
