I'm planning to get married, in Limerick and in a civil ceremony but i've no idea where to begin. Even looking at stuff on the internet stresses me out because i want a small intimate wedding for family and close friends and I don't want to spend a fortune but everything seems so expensive.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

    well first things first, congrats!!

I would suggest putting it all down on paper/excel sheet as that way you have a clear idea of what needs to be done and set yourself target dates for things to be done. That way it will help give you goals to work to. Dont try to do it all at once as you only confuse yourself even more and get frustrated.

I second the congratulations. I'm seven months away from getting married myself and I think you should relax and do the excel spreadsheet and write down the people you want to invite, expense spreadsheet too so you can estimate how much it is going to cost. I know it can be stressful but if you start with the most important thing. ie booking the venue, registering with the state and choosing your outfit, then everything else falls into place. Trust me, it really does.
