O2 Broadband on Ubuntu?

Hi, I am new to Linux and I am finding it to be surprisingly useful and user-friendly. However, I don't know how to get my O2 Broadband (E170) working on it. Could someone provide an explanation of they know how? Thanks :)

I'm not sure if you're using your phone as a Modem to connect to O2 broadband.

Anyway I've done it with Windows (O2 XDA IQ) but came across some links for Ubuntu and Fedora. Have a look at the links on this forum discussion for some pointers you may get from other devices.
