Ubuntu Help with webcam

hiya, am using Ubuntu 8.04, however I want to use a webcam with my laptop and I have an old one made by Mikomi. Where can I get the appropriate drivers? Cheers, Z

Dunno dude, there may not be a driver for it.

Mikomi is just an Argos brand name, you have to find out who made the camera and then you cna search for the driver (if there is one)]

Assuming a USB webcam, what output do you get from the 'lsusb' command with the webcam plugged in? Google the vendor:product ID on http://google.com/linux and you should see which driver supports it.
