Fitting a sofa through a door frame

    Hi all

    I wish to buy a sofa but not sure if it would fit through the door frame. The sofa diamensions are 208cm x 92cm x 98cm & the door frame is 72cm x 204cm. The store was not sure but I think if the sofa was standing upright and at an angle it might fit. The front door is the only way I can bring the sofa it.

    I would really appreciate some advice here:)

    depends on the hall and whether the sofa has legs and a high back or not so to be honest it's very hard to know without seeing it

    Thanks JDivision. A friend has a similar sofa and was able to fit it through her door frame, the diamensions are very much the same so I think it will fit.

    On one job the access was so tight we had to remove double glazing units on the ground floor for the size furniture they wanted in their front room

    A bit extreme admittedly but they wanted that particular sofa ………..

    I would if I could take it through my window but again it would not fit. I actually gave the wrong measurement for the door frame, its 79cm wide and not 72 wide. Typical me:rolleyes:

    Will the shop take it back if it doesn't fit? I'd imagine it happens fairly often, what with houses getting smaller and sofas getting bigger.

    Thanks, I actually contacted the store earlier to check if they would to see if they would take it back if it did not fit and they said yes but I must pay the delivery charges. I think I will take the risk and go ahead with the purchase.
