Everybody thinks that, but no it wasn't Tim Burton. He wrote the sonnet it was based on but did not direct the film.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,746 ✭✭✭✭Galvasean

I'm gonna guess Amadeus because of the movie.

Which middle name do you want?

He was named Johannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Gottlieb Mozart.

I think Rasher is right. It's technically 'Wolfgangus'.

    I checked Wikipedia to verify.

If grames_bond accepts that I'll throw in mine. If not just skip mine.

For the first performance of Handel's Messah in Dublin the audience were asked not to wear something to the performance.

Gentlemen were asked not to wear?

Ladies were asked not to wear?

Do you mean George Handel's Messiah?

and to answer your question, no idea. :o

Georg Friedrich Händel's oratorio called "Messiah". (In the interests of precision ;) )

Can I hijack this? No answers forthcoming...

    Got a fun one here:

3 actors, one character; Alec and Ben, who's the third?

    Okay hijack away.

    The answers to my one are;

Gentlemen were requested not to wear their swords (to the performance)

And ladies were requested not to wear hoops in their dresses.

    Reason.... lack of space.

    Harrison Ford, character Jack Ryan

What were Porsche originally going to call the 911, and why did they have to change it?

Interesting - think I'd heard the swords bit before. The hoops is a new one on me. Excellent question.

    901 - The Surrender Monkey's objected.

(admit I didn't draw this answer from my own wealth of knowledge. Thanks to the OH for the number and the interwebs for the reason).

It was going to be called the Porsche 901 but Peugeot (or Renault, one or the other) had the rights (tenously I imagine) on numbers with 0 in the middle. So Porsche simply renamed for production...
