Put all the photos into a powerpoint presentation, one photo per slide, and then pop in a CD and let the whole thing go.

I did this for my wedding, brilliant idea and got some laughs as well as a few small tears for those who were gone but not forgotten. It meant that although my grandparents weren't at my wedding, in some small way, they were :)

You could place one photo per PowerPoint slide but we mixed it up a bit with maybe two or even four photos per slide for some slides. They don't have to fill the slide either, you are allowed to have white (or whatever colour you want) space in there. We didn't centre them all either, one photo only filled the lower left quarter of the slide while the next slide had a photo in the upper right portion of the slide.

Choose music to match the mood you want. We wanted it to be a happy celebration of friends and family so we used an instrumental ditty associated with a high-profile comedy movie! :)

I went to Mrs Spider's nephew's wedding last year and they did this. It was really good, the hotel had a big screen set up and just connected a laptop to it. I think many hotels can sort this out, or just take the biggest TV you can beg, borrow or steal and do it your self! Most laptops have a TV out socket and it's just a case of getting the right cables.

Have a look here for a start http://www.videojug.com/film/how-to-connect-your-laptop-to-your-television (plus it's done in a comedy way!) :D
