Hi all. I would like to get into Jewellery Making... I would like to work with beads, gems and various stones.

Has anyone got any advice on where to start:confused:? And can you reccommend a good book?

    Cheers, Orla. :)

firemountaingems.com have some online tutorials and vids. just dont buy anything from them as the postage to ireland is crazy expensive and then you get done for import tax, like me :(

    Hi Orla,
Good for you -its a great hobby but a bit obsessional - i have been doing in now for years.
I wouldn't invest too much money at the start - For books Amazon or Play have thousands but have a look at jewelrymaking.about.com as there are great instructions and they are free. I started with earrings as these are the easiest.
    Cheers
