    Hey all

not sure if i am in the right place or not......

basically im looking for ideas for something to do for a hen night. we have the venue booked and all - its an evening bbq at the raddisson in galway which should be fun.
but my sister isnt into the regular hen crap that goes on...the L plates and all that kinda thing so im trying to think of something else that will make it fun or something.
i was thinking of 20 question/drinky kinda thing or something like that - i dont really know what im thinking !!!

just would appreciate any kinda ideas that dont involve L plates, veils, c**k earings etc.

    any help majorly appreciated!

    thanks

You could always have a themed hen night, like the bride-to-be's fave film or something. 20 questions sounds like a good idea. I've got a book with a few ideas for those kind of parties. I could dig it out and have a look for ya.

ah class yeah that would be good! :)

one of her friends hens was class - they filmed the husband to be and asked 20 questions and if the bridge guessed the correct answer that he said on the camera the person who asked the question had to do a shot and if the bride got it wrong she had to do one

was thinking something along those lines but abit different obviously as she was at the hen :D

One of my friends did a murder mystery weekend, which was a great laugh, totally different to anything I've ever been to before! A big group of us went down to a place in mayo and stayed for the weekend, we all had to get into character and we had costumes and all, it was a great laugh! Very memorable!

you could also make up stories on paper about the bride. some true some false and give them out to everyone and the guests have to guess the true and false. just be careful not to involve anything that may really embarrass her!

You could always play "I have never". One person says something that they have never done and everyone who has done it has to take a sip of their drink. You then move on to the next person. Great way for a group of people to get to know each other if they don't all already know each other and lots of fun with people you do know as you can dob in someone if they don't own up!

I'm not into the whole hen night crap either so for my hen party, meself and the bridesmaids did a day at the spa. We got masages, facials, manicures pedicures, the lot! It took up the whole day, then we just stayed the night in the hotel, went out for meal and to a pub and club afterwards. All unplanned for the evening. Had the best night out ever!

hi, my sister wasn't into that either so i booked a chinese restaurant for a few of us. i made place matts with photos of her, the fiance, friends and family at different stages of her life. then i asked her fiance (husband now) a few questions, and rolled the questions up and put them in balloons. they decoarated the table. i only blew them up when we got there. and after the meal she had to burst them to get the questions. it ended up great fun because our mam and her mother in all were sitting on the balloons and all to try burst them. as little prizes i got her a pretty sash, and we all wore green head bands for st paddys. it was a paddys wkend. so much fun!
