18 June. Unfortunately I'm away from 17 June - 1 July! I'd a good idea that would happen if I was lucky enough to pass the IST. Better get my letter off to them, but as booked holiday online I don't have the tickets yet, so can't send a copy of the tickets. I wonder will a copy of the flight details do? Anyone have any idea?

yeh the flight tickets will work, i had to resechedule last campaign, thats what i used!!

Really sorry to hear that. Don't go giving up though. Take PapaYankeeGirl as your inspiration. She missed out last time, but was successful this time round. The experience of having sat the test this year will be a big advantage to you in the next campaign.

Guys I don't want to be the voice of doom here but please think about your posts. Between given1 and JulieBelfast I know the location and date for your AC. Anyone can access this forum, it doesn't take military intelligence to decipher these small pieces of information. I know no harm was intended and each of the posts on their own are innocent but you're not the only ones attending the AC that day. Please be careful.

    Best wishes JVB

Hey just deleted my posts there, didnt even think of giving out information there :D hope no one is angry at me. Does anyone know how long it takes to find out if we pass the AC after doing it?

Thanks JulieBelfast, I know it's easy to let things slip. About your waiting time, if I remember correctly, I think it's about 6 weeks you have to wait for AC results. They only tell you whether you have passed or failed, you have to wait even longer to get your final results and feedback from Consensia. It's a long haul so be prepared. Expect at least 9 -10 months to be processed fully if successful throughout the campaign and even longer if you have any issues at medical or have a lot of info to check at vetting.

The Consensia website suggests that meds will begin in August and the pool of qualified candidates put forward for selection begins in October.

    Hope this helps, JVB

Sorry to hear you Didn't make it this time round.
Actually makes it worse knowing it was only a couple of marks off the pass target.
Keep trying and atleast you will know what to expect next time round. Only a few mths to go 4-5 approx!!

i got my IST results today, passed!!! im still waiting to hear when my medical is tho from the previous campaign

Are you in two campaigns? I havent thought of that, is there any advantage to applying twice?

I think psni mentioned the next campaign starts in August so anyone who missed out this time wont have long to wait and will have a head start in the next.

Got my IST at last also, passed, can breathe a bit easier for a while anyway.

Really sorry to hear that MrsGeneHunt. Hopefully they'll re-advertise soon enough and you can get going again.

Is that true? Another campaign starting in August 2008? .

If I'm unsuccessful in C14, then at least the wait until re-applying wouldn't be too bad.

Well done to all the latest passes in IST.

Sorry to hear the news of those who hit the crossbar this time, especially Mrs.Genehunt...... another 7 working days until my own news.

The work is easy???? What kind of regime do you live with at home????

Bulling boots and ironing uniforms/shirts etc, show parade at 5pm on Friday if you're not up to scratch (even for a speck of fluff on your hat ), marching double time in the rain, running round GV in the sleet, the dreaded PCA (:eek:), and that's the easy stuff!

I've been told by my friend who is there, its tough, they are there to discipline you, to mould you into a uniformed police officer. We WILL find it hard (that's confidence for you, eh?), we will be exhausted (she now flakes out on Friday night at 9.00pm with her first glass of red wine in her hand), but she does say it is very enjoyable and certainly not dull.

Now Lindsay, about that offer....I'll supply the spray starch.....;)

HAHAHA, ok! Make sure you get that collar crisp!!!!

I like drill, and learning new things BUT absolutly dread the PE and I mean DREAD!!!!!!!!!!!

Been at work all day, so I have had a lot of catching up to do- So here goes

    Huge Congratulations to:
    Mr Anderson
    Makepeace
    Given1
    Mustbecrazy
    Carlty888
    Steven123

And for MrsGeneHunt, well im gutted for you! Who am I going to chat silly chat to now? Its annoying missing by a few marks but at least you werent a million miles away from getting it. Keep the chin up and aim for the next campaign, look at me, failed by four on my first attempt last year, gave it another bash this time and passed. I know you have it in you. The same goes for everyone else who didn't get the news they were hoping for. Never give up, cause somewhere deep inside you there is a police officer waiting to be let out!!!! And some day you will be that cop.

PS, really sorry if I have missed anyone out! So well done to one and all just in case.

    Hi lexiemaguire.

You can call 02890650222 and ask to be put through to Recruitment. They will be able to give you futher information on your application from last year.

Regarding your personal situation, the only thing you can do is give as much information as you have. You do not get penalised for being in a situation where you simply do not know. I know a good few people in a similar situation and they got in with no problems.

The next intake is August. I wish you well!

Thats all I was going by, apologies if Ive taken you up wrong

I was just about to ask the same question. Only the fail letters give the pass mark, which is silly, why cant the passes find out too:D

    All the best for tomorrow
